Kent Moore Tools J-44228-3 | Adapter, Valve Spring Compressor
The Valve Spring and Retainer have changed on the 2.8L I4, 3.5L I5, and 4.2L I6, and will no longer fit J-44228 Valve Spring Compressor. J-44228-3 is an Adapter designed to fit the existing J-44228-1 Base Plate, and allow on-vehicle Valve Spring Compression. Due to the design of the Spring and Retainer, J-44228-3 must be used to prevent damage to the Spring or Retainer.
