Kent Moore Tools DT-49911 | Gauge Plate, Pinion Shim
The RDMs on the 2010 Camaro use a hypoid Ring and Pinion Set. The Pinion is shimmed in relation to the Ring Gear for service life and operation. Whenever shim selection is required, existing components of J-34925 Pinion Setting Gauge kit are used, along with DT-49911 Gauge Plate. DT-49911 has two steps, one for the 195 mm Ring Gear and one for the 218 mm Ring Gear. DT-49911 attaches to components of J-34925, at the inboard surface of the Inner Pinion Bearing. Once the Bearings are preLoaded, DT-49911 is used with J-21777-1 Arbor and J-8001 Dial Indicator (from J-34925) to select the required shim.
