Application: 2019-later Silverado/Sierra trucks with 3.0L Diesel (RPO LM2)The 3.0L Diesel (RPO LM2) Engine must be removed from the top of the Engine bay when service is required. Because the LM3 is an inLine 6 Cylinder, it is longer than previous GM Engines and has much of the Engine under the Front dashboard panel. Removing and Installing the LM2 requires lifting it in a specific manner to avoid damage to its components or tHose in the surrounding are in the Engine compartment. The Engine Support and attachment on the LM2 is at the Front and Rear of the Engine.Due to the cowl and Front-of-dash placement in relation to the Rear Engine mounting location, the existing factory lift Brackets are removed after placing the Powertrain onto the Frame and cannot be used. EN-52474 fits the Rear mounting location on the Engine and angles forward to clear the vehicle Front-of-dash area, as well as the Front mounting area, allowing the attachment of a lifting Device for removing the Engine. There are no other suitable attachment points for lifting the Engine. EN-52474 must be used to ensure that Engine replacement can be done safely.
