Afit Cable SetApplication: Duramax DieselCH-47976-505 is a Cable Set that allows Injector and Fuel System diagnosis with the CH-47976 Afit Main Control Unit and the CH-47976-500A DMU on FICM and Non-FICM Duramax diesel Engines. CH-47976-505 includes the CH-47976-505-1 Duramax D1 Cable and CH-47976-505-2 Duramax D2 Cable. The Cables connect to the Engine Wiring Harnesses and the Afit then operates the Fuel Pumps and Injectors to run Tests of Pump Pressures, Injector flows and Pressure drops to deTermine the cause of the DTC or Driveability symptom complaint. The CH-47976 Afit MCU and CH-47976-500A DMU are both essential Tools for USA and Canadian dealers. The Afit was originally launched to dealers in 2006 to address two current issues at that time: to improve the accuracy of diagnostics for the new AFIM (Air Fuel Imbalance Monitor) System due to increasing CARB requirements; to allow Pinpoint identification of a problem area or specific problem Injector(s) to avoid the expensive approach of replacement of all the Injectors. The CH-47976-500A DMU as sent to dealers in 2010 when SIDI Fuel injection Systems first appeared on GM vehicles.
