Kent-Moore DT-52321 | Dam Retaining Spring Installer
Application: 2019 Cruze and Malibu with VT40 Automatic Transmission, 2020 Buick Encore GX and Chevrolet TRailblazer w/VT40 (RPO MRG) TransmissionDT-52321 consists of DT-52321-1 Protector Cone and DT-52321-2 Pusher. DT-52321?1 is a smooth steel Tube with a tapered OD that goes over the End of the forward Clutch Housing and gradually expands the Ring allowing it to slide over the forward Clutch Housing hub.DT-52321-2 evenly pushes the Ring down the Protector into its groove on the Shaft. Use of a Standard snap Ring plier could over-expand and twist the Ring as it is Installed and reduce the Ring retention strength in the hub groove. DT-52321 ensures this does not occur.
