DT-51621 is used during unit Repair whenever the rotor and stator (position A or B) are required to be either removed or Installed. This Tool is constructed primarily of aluminum alloy to prevent issues resulting from the electro-magnetic field contained in the rotor. This Tool consists of four components. A Coned shaped Adapter which is mounted into the rotor hub Assembly and is used to precisely Guide the rotor in and out of the stator. An Adapter with fingers is positioned into the eight spokes of the rotor Assembly and with the use of two detent Pins secures the Tool to the rotor. A table shaped Fixture is positioned over the rotor Assembly. A fully Threaded 6" long screw with accompaning thrust Bearing and flat washer is insert thru the table and then Threaded into the tanged Adapter. The screw is then turned to easily raise or lower the rotor into the stator preVenting any undue scuffing or damage to the epoxy coating on the windings of the stator.
