The 3.4L LNJ in the Equinox and Torrent has the Torque required for the balancer Bolt of 125 Nm + 130 degrees. The Crank Shaft must be held in position to ensure the angle is reached for the Bolt to be Installed correctly. Holding the Flywheel will hold the Crank Shaft for both Removal and Installation of the balancer Bolt. Unapproved methods will not allow the correct Clamp Load to be applied, and may damage the Flywheel
The Flywheel must be held in order to service the balancer and Flywheel Bolts. The Torque required for the balancer Bolt is 150 lb-ft + 180 degrees, and Holding the Flywheel and Crank Shaft is critical to reaching this specification. Current LGE family Flywheel Holder EN-50792 does not fit the Block and starter configuration used in ATS, Camaro, and CT6 with LD4, LTG, LKW, or LCV Engines, EN-51760 Installs in place of the starter, and engages the Flywheel Ring Gear teeth to hold the Flywheel and Crank Shaft for service. Unapproved methods may result in incorrect fastener tightening or Flywheel damage
