In order to replace the belt, the tensioner must be compressed. Due to the high Spring rate, it is possible to damage the square Drive on the tensioner Body or damage the tensioner Body itself, if excess force is applied while comPressing the tensioner. EN-52243 includes a Drive Screw to allow the tensioner Spring to be compressed gradually and allows better finesse adjustment to allow the tensioner Spring to be compressed slowly and safely. EN-52243 allows access to all fasteners and can reMain in place to allow Removal or Installation of the tensioner. Unapproved methods may result in damage to the tensioner, or unexpected Release of the Spring.
