Ring Gear position and pre-Load are critical for optimum performance and durability. Once the Ring Gear is positioned correctly in relation to the Pinion, the preLoad must be Set. J-24429 is used to turn the Side Bearing adjuster on 9.5" Rear Axles to achieve the required pre-Load on the Side Bearings. Unapproved methods will damage the Side Bearing adjuster Holes.
