Kent Moore Tools J-41552 | Compressor Pulley Puller HD6

HD6 Compressor Beginning with the 1996car, a new pulley is used on the HD6 Air conditioning Compressor. The slots on the face of the pulley that were previously used for pulley Removal have been moved. J-41552 engages and Locks into the relocated slots and uses a forcing screw to remove the pulley with a steady, even pulling force. J-41552 can also be reversed to work on an old Style pulley>>in these cases it is not necessary to use the Shaft Protector, included with the Tool. The J-41552 will not engage the pulley if the Shaft Protector is used.

• The Kent-Moore J-41552 Compressor Pulley Puller is a tool designed to remove the pulley from the HD6 compressor on a F Car. The tool engages and locks into the relocated slots on the pulley and uses a forcing screw to remove the pulley with a steady, even pulling force. The tool can also be reversed to work on an old style pulley. A shaft protector is included with the tool to prevent damage to the compressor shaft.
• How to Use:
• Align the tool with the pulley.
• Insert the forcing screw into the tool and tighten until it is snug against the pulley.
• Turn the handle of the tool clockwise to remove the pulley.
• Troubleshooting:
• If the tool is not engaging the pulley, try reversing the tool. If the tool is still not engaging the pulley, check to make sure that the shaft protector is not in place.
